SOUTH CAROLINA STATE HOUSING AUTHORITY INTRODUCES THE
2008 PALMETTO HERO HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS!
The South Carolina 2008 PALMETTO HERO PROGRAM is open to eligible teachers who have a valid South Carolina Teacher Certification, currently reside and teach in the state, or have a contract to begin teaching within 60 days of closing on a mortgage. This program offers a 5.875 percent, 30 year fixed mortgage interest rate and down payment assistance. Under certain conditions the down payment assistance does not have to be repaid.
